This is for the first time in India that UGC and Ministry of Skill development and Entrepreneurship has given recognition for a work-integrated ITI. You can continue working in any unit that you are employed in and come for classes once a week (which will be decided at convenience of the majority of students) and 75% of the questions will be from practical and 25% only from theory.

1) What are the requirements for joining the course of a) welder b) fitter c) electrician d) Spinning technician e) Advanced Diploma and B. Voc?

Welder 8th; Fitter, electrician and spinning technician 10th pass and for diploma, 12th pass or ITI pass. Anyone between the age of 16-40 may easily join.

2) I have been working as a technician in another mill, am I eligible to join the course of spinning technician?

You are very much eligible person to join the course provided you continue working at the place you are working in. The idea is to improve the qualification and quality of existing working spinning technicians, fitters, electricians.

3) How will it be useful to me?

This course will make you technically sound and increase your chances of employability and suitability for your profession. On successful completion of a course, you shall receive UGC recognized certificate from Centurion University which is accepted in India and abroad as well.

4) What is the fee structure? Will I get a stipend?

For welder Rs. 18000 and other course Rs 22000. If you are a fresher and join internship at a unit of Sri Kannapiran Mills, a part of your earnings will be kept aside and paid to cover the tuition fee.

5) Will you assure for job placement after the completion of the course?

Yes, sure. If we have vacancy in any of our units, you shall have the first preference; if not, in other mills. in case you are employed with another mill, we *do not encourage* your leaving the work.

6) How will this help increase my earnings?

You will be a qualified, certified technician with an invaluable certificate which can fetch you a job in India and on foreign land.

7) Will you give a certificate after successful course completion? Where from?

Yes, from Centurion Univerity, which is recognized by UGC and Ministry of skill Development and enterpreneurship, Govt. of India.

8) Does the degree have UGC recognition? Will it be valid in foreign countries?

A big yes, definitely.

9) Will you provide with free accommodation?

Yes if you join us as intern; in case you are working in any other unit, you may come, attend the class and return.

Food will be given at subsidized rate for the interns.
